We have a couple of great shows on tap with our GGU Presents programming next week. On Tuesday, we talk with Dr. Siamak Zadeh of GGU about the roles that big data and artificial intelligence are playing in the tracking, monitoring, and containment of COVID-19.

Then on Wednesday, for the legal minds in the house, we are thrilled to debut our McCarthy Institute Series video podcast. David Franklyn hosts Mark Puzella and Sheryl Garko from law firm Orrick for an in-depth look at the Romag Fasteners case, on which the U.S. Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling in a trademark-infringement matter last month. The ruling immediately raises the stakes for trademark infringement suits.

Two great shows in one week, both free, and a reminder that GGU is a hub of big thinkers and big ideas.

"GGU offers a wonderful program. They understand the working adult who is going back to finish a degree and they have a platform to support that. When I had to be away for four weeks for work, I reached out to my professors and they were so accommodating. I devised a schedule for one of my courses that would allow me complete assignments around work demands, and my professors provided wonderful support. It was a great partnership."

Did you know you can now enroll in a new three-course Organizational Leadership and Human Skills undergraduate certificate?

Meet Jeffrey D. Yergler, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of the Undergraduate Management Department at Golden Gate University.

"During my college years, I was driven by the question of what does it mean to be a human being? How can I help people feel esteemed, valued, confident, equipped, and empowered? That question was always important to me. Today, I'm thrilled that we've launched the BA in Organizational Leadership and Human Skills Development (OLHSD), as well as our two new undergraduate certificates exploring topics in change management and managing business relationships. These programs are designed to provide our adult learners with the leadership and relational skills they need to excel in their careers.

Because we know that employers are seeking applicants with skills and knowledge in such areas as emotional intelligence, adaptability, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and teamwork, our OLHSD programs are targeted to provide exactly what employers are looking for."

GGU's summer term is 100% online. Learn more about our OLHSD degrees and certificates:

Wonderful memories with an excellent and generous teacher, kit Carman, as I remember her name from the early 90. So lucky to have been taught by you, so lucky to have cross your path. ♥️🙏

I just got to know Kit while doing my first research project .. and reading this news just after few weeks of knowing her and reading her book makes me feel really sad and reminds that life is so unpredictable. May God bless her soul and take care of her family. RIP

Most favorite professor for my MBA (92). RIP.

I was so sorry to hear about this. She was an inspiration.

I worked with Kit for a short time and lover her energy and her expertise. So sad.
