Golden Gate University Receives ‘Silver’ Designation as a Military Friendly School
Golden Gate University (GGU) has been awarded the ‘Silver’ designation as a Military Friendly School by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that connects the military community to civilian employment, education, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The Military Friendly Schools list is the longest-running and most comprehensive review of college and university investments in serving military and veteran students. Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school. The designation criteria include an assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, and persistence.
GGU is proud to receive this recognition and is committed to continuing to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for military-affiliated students. GGU offers programs and services to assist service members, veterans, and military spouses in achieving their educational and career goals, including dedicated staff and resources, flexible scheduling options, and credit for military experience.
“We are honored to receive the Silver designation as a Military Friendly School,” said GGU President David J. Fike. “Golden Gate University has a longstanding commitment to serving our military-connected students and this recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to provide the highest level of support and resources to help them succeed.”
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from VIQTORY,” said Jason Dempsey, Director of The Helen Diller Center for Veterans of U.S. Military Service at Golden Gate University. “This designation validates the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and administration to support our military-connected students and their families. We are committed to continuing to provide the best possible experience for those who have served our country.”
