Reclaiming Dr. Martin Luther King’s Radical Legacy
On February 28th, GGU hosted a virtual discussion in honor of Black History Month on the topic of “Reclaiming Dr. Martin Luther King’s Radical Legacy,” presented by DEIB trainer and author, Dr. Jeremiah J. Sims.
The presence and participation of alumni, faculty, and staff helped make the event a success and demonstrated GGU’s continued commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Dr. Jeremiah J. Sims’ presentation and discussion proved insightful and thought-provoking. The role of historical knowledge and its application to societal challenges is one of the purposes of higher education. GGU’s 122-year tradition of innovative, career-focused, and academically rigorous education was evident during this special event. Discussions like this one afford the campus community opportunities to stay connected and committed to GGU’s mission as we are stronger together!
