Three Golden Gate Law Students Earn Recognition for Excellent Legal Writing and Research

:::

Golden Gate University School of Law is pleased to announce the winners of the first annual Excellence in Legal Research and Writing Award sponsored by Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), a nonprofit program of the University of California that provides professional legal resources geared towards California state bar members. CEB established the award to honor Golden Gate Law students’ outstanding performance. An attorney panel appointed by CEB reviewed the final written assignments of the Golden Gate Law 2022-23 first-year class, including Golden Gate Law full-time and Flex students.

The panel selected the following winners:

  • First place: Nallely Romayor Reynoso
  • Second place: Sean Mattson
  • Third place: Brandon Turner

The CEB award recognizes the high-quality performance of a memorandum of points and authorities submitted by first-year law students as a culminating project at the conclusion of Golden Gate Law’s law students’ first year. The recognition also comes with a cash prize from CEB for each of the winners.

Dean Mark Yates and CEB representative Griffin Ferry presented the awards to these deserving students at a celebratory event on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
